How to Sauna
With its 24 saunas throughout the resort and its extraordinary sauna landscape with Sauna Garden of Eden, Lady's Spa and the hotel's own wellness area AVITA Exklusiv, AVITA is a true sauna mecca.
To get the most out of the many positive effects of a sauna, it is important to follow a few basic rules. Here are the most important sauna tips we have compiled for you!

Food and drink
The perfect sauna day starts with a nutritious breakfast . Then wait a little , you should not go into the sauna with an overfull or empty stomach. Drink enough before the sauna session and between sauna sessions - you lose up to three quarters of a liter of water per sauna session.

Preparation
Shower thoroughly before going to the sauna and dry off well. Dry skin promotes sweat production more effectively than moist skin.

Guided infusions
We start with a guided show infusion with our sauna masters in the event lake sauna. Take off your watches, jewelry and glasses before the sauna session - they get very hot in the sauna . The cell phone stays outside! Sit or lie down on the sauna towel in the sauna so that no sweat gets on the wood. Our tip: The higher and the closer you sit to the heater, the hotter it is. It is best to start low. A sauna session lasts around 10 to 15 minutes. If you are lying down, you should sit up for the last two minutes.

Cooling phase
This is followed by the first cool-down phase. Dry off the sweat and cool down your body in the fresh air. Only the second cooling phase includes the cold water pool, showering with cold water or the snow sauna, otherwise you could suffer from cold shock .

Rest phase
This is followed by the rest phase, which should be at least as long as the sauna session. Here you are spoiled for choice! For deep relaxation there are various relaxation rooms or spacious green lounging areas in the sauna Garden of Eden.

Massage at the AVITA Premium Spa
Treat yourself to a massage at the AVITA Premium Spa! After a sauna session, the muscles are already well supplied with blood and the effect of the massage is optimized.

Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Eat, sleep, repeat! Enjoy a lunchtime snack at the sauna bar, in the Medita thermal spa restaurant or as a hotel guest as part of the lunchtime vitality lunch. Then take a short rest and you are ready for your second sauna session. The sequence is the same again. Incidentally, more than three sauna sessions do not increase the health benefits any further.

Kneipp
In the stork walk through the Kneipp pools. The hot and cold water pool promotes blood circulation and has a positive effect on the circulation. This makes the Kneipp pools the perfect complement to a sauna session.

Infrared cabin
Infrared cabins are an excellent alternative to conventional saunas. The gentle heat from infrared radiation acts directly on the body and creates a maximum stimulation of blood circulation in muscles and tissue. This supplies the body with more nutrients.
Cream & Peeling

Sauna cream
During the sauna, the skin benefits from its increased absorption capacity, which means that sauna creams offer particularly effective care that makes the skin soft and supple. Enriched with valuable ingredients, they moisturize and pamper the skin. The individual fragrance contributes to relaxation and transforms a sauna session into a unique feel-good experience.
Sauna peeling
Peelings, for example with salt or coffee, have various positive effects on the skin. Rubbing the coarse-grained salt into the skin stimulates blood circulation. The skin takes on a healthy, slightly rosy glow and residues are effectively removed by the peeling. This applies in particular to small flakes of skin that cannot be removed with soap. The skin regenerates itself at regular intervals. New cells are formed, old cells die off.
