In September, everything at the AVITA Resort traditionally revolves around the theme of culinary delights and regional delicacies. The combination of good entertainment combined with excellent food has proven itself. In 2022, the Gourmet Week was even awarded the new Burgenland wine tourism prize – the golden grape – as one of the best wine tourism concepts. As part of the 15th AVITA Gourmet Week, guests will once again be delighted with a varied program centered around culinary experiences.

From 17.00 we invite you to a personal reception with delicious appetizers, cool drinks and live music – according to the motto: welcome to the 15th Gourmet Week.


Pleasure Mile | Monday, September 11
Enjoyment mile with cozy kitchen gossip and a look behind the scenes. From 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., we’ll treat you to a variety of gourmet stations in our restaurant, kitchen and free-cooking area of the hotel lobby. Our chef Markus Marhanek is looking forward to meeting you personally.

Pleasure hike | Tuesday, September 12
In addition to culinary experiences, activities in the beautiful region are also highly valued during our gourmet week. A real crowd favorite: the pleasure hike. This year the route leads through the natural jewel Willersdorfer Gorge. Along the route, which is flowed through by the lovely Willersbach, participants can expect enjoyment stations with regional delicacies. The event will conclude with a convivial afternoon with traditional food and musical accompaniment at Heurigen Unger.

“AVITA Star Guest Gala” – You are our star!
Highly motivated, AVITA head chef Markus Marhanek and his kitchen brigade will be giving their best at the AVITA Star Guest Gala, the highlight of this extraordinary week. 7 courses, each a treat for the palate, creatively combine one ingredient. This is obvious in the second largest wine province of Austria: wine! The delicate dinner is complemented with an exquisite wine accompaniment, selected by restaurant manager and wine expert Wolfgang Pöll.

We love pasta! The main role of this culinary program is played by the classic cucina italiana. Our Medita chef Peter Nemeth and his team introduce themselves and inspire with original pasta variations.

Pleasure cycling| Friday, September 15
This year, for the first time, the brand-new AVITA picnic backpacks, filled with lots of tasty treats, will be used for the Genussradeln. An experience to remember: cycling through the idyllic nature of southern Burgenland paired with a delicious picnic in good company.

Market Day | Friday, September 15
Regionality naturally plays an important role at the AVITA Resort. Top producers of the region are represented in the daily menu. At the market day “Wine, Kas` and Co” in the noble ambience of the hotel lobby these are brought before the curtain and present there guests their products very closely. It can be tasted and sampled at will and one or the other “souvenir” can be purchased.

From 13.00 o’clock the motto is “O’zapft is” – celebrate with us the beer tapping with Weißwurst and Brezn on the hotel terrace incl.. Music – a rustic experience!
